4/6/2023 0 Comments Squad vs hell let looseCertain methods of death will leave you unable to be revived which could only be done by the medic while in Squad everyone can revive. sometimes it’s a meat grinder, sometimes it’s not. Means usually you have most of the 50 people on each team clashing together at once. HLL ranges are closer, the gameplay as a whole is a bit more linear, tighter smaller maps with a focus on one or two 400mx400m squares at any one time. Most infantry engagement rangers are a lot closer in HLL, usually within 100m while you can regularly be engaging at 200m-300m in Squad. If you’re looking for closer combat, punchier (and arguably easier) gunplay then HLL. Maps design and mechanics lend themselves to it better. If you’re interested in more open combat with more detailed/thought provoking logistics systems then I’d probably go with Squad. Can’t speak for BtW but over played the other two pretty much since they launched. They provide different things and satisfy different needs beyond “WW2 shooter” or “modern shooter”. HLL is more fast paced, stuff happens faster and there is a lot more action going on. It especially nails missions in the middle east. If you want sweaty and highly rewarding squad gameplay that can lead to really intense moments that stick for a while, Squad is the thing to do. In HLL i do miss the comms, its always funny at the start of the round when 50 players are on one spot loading into trucks, cracking jokes, playing music while driving towards the enemy and then within a second hell breaks lose and it reflects over the coms, really gives you the feeling of being in the army with your boys. You can get by without much talking in HLL thanks to a ping system. People in Squad communicate A LOT more over voicecoms. Squads sound is much better but HLL sounds incredible as well, both are really immersive. Squad is a little bit dry, like Arma 3 with rather basic graphics. HLL shooting is a lot better and feels smoother, same with the animations. Playing Medic in HLL is torture because basically nobody waits for you and just respawns. HLL does not have any mechanics like that.ĭying in squad comes with rather serious consequences, while dying in HLL is not a big deal and you get right back in the action, which has the downside that kills are pretty meaningless at times and Ammo is essentially infinite. Making sure that your own supply trucks get through is paramount to being able to advance an attack. You can basically siege a location, cut off their supply trucks and then just siege them dry. Squads team gameplay is much more strict and intricate with medics being really really powerful and supply being highly important. Squad on the other hand has truly gigantic open maps and you do feel like being a stranger in a foreign country, very immersive despite the rather mediocre graphics. Its maps are a little artificial and clearly designed to control the flow of the gameplay, so you have less of an open world feeling and you feel the needle threading and chokepoints being placed intentionally. Hell Let Loose is a lot more like Red Orchastra 2 and Battlefield 5 combined into one game.
